Finding The Perfect Dress!

I was extremely lucky in finding this dress. I found it at this fantastic store called 'La Rosa' on Upper Haight in San Francisco. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and even more so when I tried it on.The original plan was to have it altered, taken up and ruffled to give it a tulip affect.

I decided to remove one arm of the dress and leave the length for a more classic look... a more Hepburn look! I was so happy with the outcome. My mum actually did all the alteration work. It was she who convinced me to keep the length also. She emailed me one day saying she had nightmares about the dress, and how much of a shame it would be to cut and alter the dress. She thought by taking it up I would not only blend into the crowd of cocktail dress attire but I would no longer resemble a bride instead a guest!
